The subject of this chatter concerns those who have Celiac Disease or other types of gluten sensitivities. However, the Catholic Church is not inadvertently prohibiting its members with Celiac Disease from receiving communion. In fact, the Church even offers a couple of substitute options for those who are not able to consume gluten.

    Panzanella is the quintessential dish to throw together when you don't want to go to the store. The classic Tuscan salad calls for only a few simple ingredients: stale bread, misc. produce, and basic seasonings. Centuries ago in Toscana, when bread was baked only once a week, families would use leftover loaves by soaking the stale bread in olive oil and vinegar. The revitalized bread would be tossed with whatever fresh produce was available in the garden.

We went to speak to Nicola Farinetti, CEO for the USA, to get a taste of the new store. The new feature of breakfast, for example, and the special role assigned to bread—a unifying element for all food cultures around the world.
