  • A message, a musical key, hidden inside a painting, “Portrait of a Musician” by Leonardo da Vinci. Sicilian art historian and researcher Giuseppe Petix reveals it at Fordham University in New York.
  • Leonardo Da Vinci’s "St. Jerome in the Wilderness" is currently on view in a free exhibition organized by the Vatican Museums at the Braccio di Carlo Magno in St. Peter's Square. The painting is then set to travel across the Atlantic to New York City, to be exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum. Finally, it will (supposedly) be shipped over to Paris to be part of the Louvre’s Blockbuster Da Vinci show, organized in honor of the 500th anniversary of the artist’s death.
  • The Fall of the Rebel Angels by Andrea Commodi
    The Italian Cultural Institute’s “An Obsession with Michelangelo, The Fall of the Rebel Angels” exhibit featuring Andrea Commodi’s “Study of the Fall of the Rebel Angels” painting is open through January 11, 2018. Along with the painting, there are four of his sketches that demonstrate his influence by the renowned renaissance artist, Michelangelo.
  • “Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designer" opens in November at the Met
    The Metropolitan Museum of Art is organizing its largest Michelangelo exhibition to date which will run from November 13th through February 12th, 2018. The upcoming show entitled “Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designer" will feature the Renaissance master's drawings, marble sculptures, and much more!
  • Seeing Through - Marthe Keller & Antonio Scaccabarozzi
    On view until March 16, the two-person exhibit features work from an Italian-born painter and a New York native who hail from different artistic generations, yet both embody the idea of "seeing through" in their works.
