  • The Italian Ministry of Economic Development will release a detailed plan to promote the export of Italian fashion to the US. This will highlight the “segno distintivo” of the goods produced in the Italian fashion sector.
  • BEA – Book Expo America: one of the major rendez-vous for literature aficionados and for those who love to poke around the latest editorial novelties. The biggest media and editorial fair in North America returns, like every year, to the Javits Center. Inevitably present are Italian publishing houses, telling of the new editorial market and of the crisis that began a few years ago in the present era of media.
  • Arts & Tannery, an exclusive event showcasing Italian leather products of supreme quality, returns to New York City to offer buyers a firsthand look into the latest trends in leather.   • Bernardo Bertolucci's first Italian-language feature in over 30 years and first feature in 9 years is about to open in New York City, on July 4th to be exact, and in more theaters across the US. Me and You is part of the Cinema Made in Italy Series, a major new initiative between Cinecittà Luce, the Italian Trade Commission and the film distributor Emerging Pictures that brings Italian films to American audiences.

    Italy will again dominate this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. To know more about all this we visited the Italian Trade Agency in New York and met met Pier Paolo Celeste, Trade Commissioner and Executive Director for the USA.
