    SD26 is a important NYC’s destination for authentic Italian cuisine. Located at Madison Square Park on 19 East 26th Street, SD26 just celebrated it’s 5th anniversary on January 20 with a gala complete with delicious food and Italian jazz music; the proceeds benefiting the “Tony May Scholarship for Italian Culinary Studies”. Francine Segan speaks with the father-daughter owners, Tony and Marisa May, and their executive chef, Matteo Bergamini, about the success of their restaurant.

    A closer look at the life and career of Marisa May, co-owner of SD26 on Madison Square Park and daughter of legendary restaurateur Tony May.
  • The Turin and Langhe-Roero areas in Piedmont were the focus of ENIT’s latest event on July 17. The outreach to the American tourism sector operators presented the audience with information on Piedmont’s capital city, Turin, a full-fledged European metropolis after the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, and on the Langhe-Roero hills with their 1,000 wine cellars. Along with representatives from Piedmont’s institutions, world record quick-change artist Arturo Brachetti, a native from Turin, was present at the event as a cultural ambassador for his region and city.
  • The Italian Trade Commission and the Italian Wine & Food Institute organized a day-long tasting of delicious whites, rosés and sparkling wines (Prosecco, Moscato and Brachetto) for the press and insiders of the wine business promoting light and crisp wines that will cool down any hot summer day.
